3. How do I reach TSC hospital by bus?

KSRTC Buses are available throughout the day with the stop being right in front of TSC hospital. You can hop on any bus that goes through the NH Bypass, and then ask for the ticket to TSC Hospital. The hospital is just across the service road from the bus stop.

4. I plan to come to the hospital by car. Do you have parking space available?

Yes. We have a large parking space available for 4-wheelers / 3-wheelers / 2-wheelers. At a time, around 20-25 cars can be parked at our parking area that is available exclusively for the customers of TSC Hospital.

5. What is your typical working time?

We are open 24x7 with specialists’ consultations available from Monday to Saturday. Please refer to the Departments page of our website for details on timings of all the doctors.

6. Which all specialties are available?

All major and minor specialties viz. General Surgery, General Medicine, Paediatrics, Paediatric Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Urology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Dermatology, Plastic Surgery, Anaesthesiology, ENT, Cardiology, Nephrology and Diabetology are available here, and are led by highly skilled and experienced consultants and complemented by state of the art equipment and facilities.

7. Do you have Dialysis Facility at your hospital?

Yes. We have a state of the art dialysis facility at our hospital. We are providing dialysis facility to the patients at a very nominal rate of only Rs. 900/- per session. Please contact the reception if you would like to avail of this facility.

8. Are all doctors available on all days?

Casualty doctors will be available 24x7. However, the specialists consultation is not available 24x7. Please refer to the Departments page of our website for details on timings of all the doctors.

9. Is there a facility to make an appointment for a doctors consultation online or through phone?

Currently, we do not have a facility for taking appointment through online or phone. All consultation appointments are on a first-come-first-serve basis.

10. Do you have a token system in place to ensure that there is no overcrowding?

Yes. We have taken note of the overcrowding situation and have implemented a token system in the hospital. The token number will be displayed in the bill taken for the OP consultation and the patients shall be called on the basis of this token number.

11. Is your hospital endorsed by any quality certifications/accreditations?

Yes. TSC hospital is NABH (Entry Level) accredited, and is the only hospital in the Kulathoor-Kazhakoottam area to have received this prestigious accreditation. In addition, our hospital is ISO 9001:2015 certified and ISO 9001:2008 certified.

Yes. We do have an in-house pharmacy at TSC Hospital that functions 24x7.

Yes. We do have an in-house laboratory at TSC Hospital that functions 24x7.

14. Do you have blood bank at your hospital?

No. We don’t have a blood bank at our hospital. We avail services from other hospitals having blood bank facilities, when in need.

15. How good is your hospital for Surgery?

TSC Hospital is well known throughout the state of Kerala for the high quality of surgical procedures done at the hospital and also for the outstanding success rates of the surgeries. We receive patients from very far-off districts and even from neighbouring states for getting the surgeries done. Over the past 10 years since our inception, we have created an excellent reputation for high quality surgeries and have generated significant trust among the general public for the quality of surgeries.

TSC Hospital is equally well-known for other specialties as well.

16. Is COVID test mandatory for all patients before consultations?

COVID test is mandatory for all symptomatic (high temperature and/or cough and/or sneezing) patients.

17. Is COVID test mandatory for patients’ bystanders in IP rooms?

Yes. Owing to the rise in COVID Cases, we have made it mandatory for all bystanders to perform COVID antigen test and get a negative certificate, irrespective of whether they are vaccinated or not.

18. How many bystanders are allowed at a time?

Usually we permit up to 2 bystanders for a patient. However, owing to the worsening COVID situation, we permit only 1 bystander for a patient, and the bystander has to be tested negative for COVID irrespective of whether the person is vaccinated or not.

19. What is your policy regarding visitors?

Usually, we permit visitors from 8 am to 8 pm. However, due to the alarming rise in COVID cases, we have strictly enforced a NO VISITOR POLICY at TSC hospital.

20. What classes of rooms are available at your hospital?

We have Non A/C Single Rooms, A/C Single Rooms and Deluxe AC rooms at TSC Hospital. You can contact the reception for details on the room tariffs.

21. What type of check-in check-out process do you follow – 24 hours or 12 hours?

As is the norm, we follow a 12-hour check-in check-out policy for our IP patients.

22. Do you have cashless treatment facility at your hospital? Which all insurance companies / TPAs are you empaneled with?

Empaneled TPAs - Vidal Health TPA, MD India TPA, Health Insurance TPA, Heritage India TPA, Family Health Plan Limited (FHPL) TPA, Paramount TPA, Ericson TPA TPA, Vipul Med Corp TPA.

Empaneled Insurance Companies - HDFC Ergo , ICICI Lombard, Reliance General Insurance, SBI General Insurance, Care Health (Religare), Max Bupa (NivaBupa) Healthcare, Aditya Birla Health Insurance, Bajaj Allianz.

23. I am an ECHS beneficiary. What all documents are required to avail cashless treatment at your hospital?

    We will need the following documents to provide cashless treatment to you being an ECHS beneficiary:
  • ECHS card, within the validity period, with valid name and address.
  • Reference Letter with the following:
  • From date and to date clearly mentioned.
  • No of visits clearly mentioned
  • Treating department clearly mentioned
  • Seal and signature from the ECHS polyclinic
  • Credit to be mentioned
The reference letter will be kept at the hospital and if required, a copy of the reference letter can be given to you on your request.

24. I am a CGHS beneficiary. What all documents are required to avail cashless treatment at your hospital?

    Cashless treatment is available only for CGHS pensioners, and you will have to bring the following documents to avail of the same:
  • CGHS card, within the validity period, with valid name and address.
  • Reference Letter with the following:
  • From-date and To-date clearly mentioned
  • No of visits clearly mentioned
  • Treating department clearly mentioned
  • Seal and signature from the CGHS Dispensary / Wellness centre.
  • Credit to be mentioned
  • The reference letter will be kept at the hospital and if required, a copy of the reference letter can be given to you on your request.

25. If I hold a cashless insurance card with a company which you are not empanelled with, how can I avail treatment from you?

Sir, if you hold an insurance card of a company that we are not empaneled with, you will not be able to get cashless treatment, and you will have to make payment against the bill generated for you. However, you can check with your insurance company if you can reimburse the treatment charges and if yes, our staff can prepare all the documents for your reimbursement.
